Three Simple Ways You Can Make More Sales By Offering Your Booklets For Free

You see it all the time – merchants giving away free products.    Free has probably been a marketing strategy since one caveman traded with another.  Why?  Because it works.

It’s been said that everyone loves a bargain.  And if that’s true (and it is!) then everyone loves getting something for free even more.  Offering something to your prospects and customers for free does several things.

First, it builds goodwill.  Its shows your marketplace that you’re not like all those other money hungry businesses out there (even though every business really is about the money!  Without money you have no business!).

Second, it makes your prospects and customers feel good.  It feels good to get a gift, and when they get that gift they’ll associate that good feeling with you and your business – even if only subconsciously.

Third, it gives you the opportunity to get your booklet or e-booklet into the hands of a prospect so they can discover what you and your business are truly about.  This is the best marketing position to be in because you’ve got their interest.  They don’t feel like you’re selling anything to them.  They just want to read the free booklet.

So, how can you use this simple marketing strategy to sell your booklets without giving away the store?  Here are three ideas you can try.

1)  Buy one get a free e-booklet.  If they buy a booklet, they get a free e-booklet of equal value of their choice.  You can offer this whether they’re paying for a printed booklet or an e-booklet.

2) Get a free booklet or e-booklet with any purchase of $10.00 or more.  You can set any dollar amount you want to.

3) Get a free e-booklet, no purchase necessary.  The free e-booklet might be the first in a series, in which case the purchaser will need to buy the next booklet to get more information.  Or, it might be an introductory booklet that helps potential customers get to know more about you, your expertise, and what you and your company are really all about.
