Whether you’re courting quantity buyers or selling to individuals, you’re bound to get a no here and there. Sometimes these no’s are really no’s, but many times you can turn them around and make the sale.
How do you turn a no into a yes? Instead of shaking your head and wondering why your potential customer didn’t buy your booklet, you should ask them. Trying to guess what your potential customer is thinking is a bad idea. They may have some very good reasons why they are unable to buy from you. But, they may also like your booklet very much. They may have an obstacle that you can help them with, or they may not be able to buy right now, but they might be able to at some point in the future.
Even if your potential customer is not interested in your booklet, asking them why they are turning it down will give you valuable insight for future negotiations.
No’s are NOT negative. They are positive if you can discover the reasons behind them.
To your riches!
