As an author, you should always be looking to improve upon your knowledge. One way to do this is by reading. You should, of course, read as much as you can about the subject of your booklet in order to stay on top of what’s happening. This keeps you in the know and helps you maintain your expert status.
But, you should also read non-fiction that is of interest to you, but has nothing to do with your booklet. This helps to give your personality and your character some depth, and makes you someone interesting to talk to. This benefits you when you meet with your audience face to face. They are interested in your booklet’s subject, but it’s always nice to know something about the person behind the booklet, and if they find you interesting they will like you and remember you. And, if they like you and remember you they are more likely to buy more products from you in the future.
Finally, reading helps to make you a better writer and gives you new ideas for future booklets and other products.
To your riches!
